Where To Find Brands that Send PR & What To Charge as a Content Creator

PR Package Platforms for Content Creators

In addition to pitching brands directly, many creators receive PR packages and gifted products through influencer marketing platforms. These platforms connect brands with creators for product seeding, awareness campaigns, UGC, and social content.

  • 1. Obviously

  • 2. Influenster

One of the most common entry points for creators receiving PR packages. Products are typically sent in exchange for reviews or social content. Accessible even with smaller followings.

  • 3. Aspire

  • 4. BrandBacker

Strong focus on gifted products with optional paid deliverables. Brands ship PR packages directly in exchange for content or reviews.

  • 5. Upfluence

What to consider when charging a brand for your services

Pricing structure is based on factors such as platform, followers, content niche, and usage rights.

  • Platform (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Blog, etc.)
  • Follower Count & Engagement Rate
  • Type of Content (Reels, Posts, Stories, Blog Articles, etc.)
  • Usage Rights & Exclusivity
  • Industry Standard Rates

Base Rate Formula (Per Post/Reel/Story)

Base Rate = (Follower Count ÷ 1,000) × Engagement Rate × Industry Standard Rate

Example Calculation

Let’s say you have:

  • 10,000 followers on Instagram
  • Engagement rate of 3%
  • The brand wants 1 reel with 3 months of usage rights

Base Rate: 10,000 ÷ 1,000 = 10 → 10 x $50 = $500
Engagement Multiplier: $500 x 1.5 = $750
Usage Rights (50% extra): $750 + ($750 x 0.5) = $1,125

Total Charge: $1,125

Adjust for Extra Services

Add these fees based on the project scope:

  • Exclusivity Fee (Brands want you to avoid working with their competitors) → +25-50%
  • Usage Rights (If brands repurpose your content for ads) → +50-100%
  • Deliverables (More content = Higher pay) → Bundle discounts
  • Rush Fee (Fast turnaround required) → +30%

Engagement Rate Multiplier

  • Low Engagement (Below 2%) → Base rate x 1.2
  • Average Engagement (2%-4%) → Base rate x 1.5
  • High Engagement (Above 4%) → Base rate x 2

Usage & Exclusivity Fees

  • Exclusive Rights: Add 50%-100% to base rate
  • White-listing (Ad Boosting): Add 25%-50%
  • Long-Term Licensing (6-12 Months): Add 50%-200%

Add-on Services

  • Script-writing: +$50-$150
  • Video Editing: +$100-$500
  • Revisions: +$50 per revision
  • Rush Fee: +25%-50% of base rate

You can input your follower count, engagement rate, and other fees to determine the price to charge. This will ensure you quote based on your content quality. Engagement and other factors can help you back up what you say about your worth as a creator.
